The International Textile Alliance (ITA) has a new and exciting agenda set for their Spring Interwoven Textile Fair by ITA, taking place on May 21-24 in High Point.
The Interwoven Textile Fair by ITA™ is sponsored by Cotton Incorporated, Crypton Home, Lenzing Fibers, and UNIFI, Inc. Held twice per year at International Market Center’s Market Square Tower (305 W High Ave, High Point) and throughout the downtown High Point market district.
ITA is recognized as the go-to resource for textile professionals around the world and brings together over 150 + members that consist of fabric manufacturers and trimming wholesalers, textile mills, leather companies, textiles suppliers, and converter companies who display the most comprehensive fabric, leather, and trim presentations that weave the textile world together.
The spring 2023 show will introduce 1000’s of new textiles across multiple categories and will feature 119 exhibitors. The exhibitors will converge to bring forth design and style trends, as well leveraging the latest techniques, innovations, and textile news, for the upcoming 2023 -2024 seasons.
Throughout the market, ITA also offers a daily buyer breakfast and a new buyer’s lounge designed to support the attendees, as well as hosting a series of educational events throughout the show that are held at the MSTT 5th Floor Seminar Room.
Carrie Dillon, managing director of the International Textile Alliance commented, “As we continue the rebranding process, we are excited to introduce two full days of education in addition to our professional trend galleries curated by global trend forecasting agency, FS (Fashion Snoops).”
To highlight a few of the ITA’s educational events, Textiles 101 will offer a basic knowledge of the textile manufacturing process, there will be two discussions on sustainability, “Begin with Better Blending: Innovative Fiber Solutions for the Sustainable Future of Furniture and Upholstery” panel discussion and “Intro to Sustainability: ESG, Policy, and What to do Next.”
In partnership with Science in Design, attendees will discover new technologies, evolutionary inheritance, and designing for the unconscious mind, and neuro-aesthetics – the convergence of science and design.
FS (Fashion Snoops), the leading global trend forecasting agency, will deliver “Trend Forecast SS24” as they offer an immersive presentation that breaks down the consumer insights, design direction, market alignment, and inspiration needed to approach the season ahead with confidence and clarity.
Jaye Anna Mize, Fashion Snoops, shared “We are seeing the shift towards wellness in all capacities reign the market at the moment – from more sustainable options to textiles that make you feel good to yarns that impact your overall wellbeing.”
During the upcoming event, ITA will introduce a trend gallery, curated by FS (Fashion Snoops) and in partnership with High Point Market Authority and American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame. The galleries are sponsored by Crypton Home, Culp Home Fashions, Springs Creative Home, and De Leo Textiles. The trend gallery is located on the 5th Floor Hub at Market Square.
