A London based chemical recycling technology innovator, Worn Again Technologies is involved in an innovative end-of-use material sorting initiative to bring full textile circularity in operation.
As an active member of the ACT UK project, the company is willing to provide an end-to-end approach for sorting, pre-processing, and recycling of textiles to allow a cost-effective and industrial-scale transition for the textile recycling plant.
The aim of the ACT UK project is to develop an integrated, automated and pre-processing system for non-rewearable clothing in the UK enabling sorters and collectors to supply high-volume, quality feedstock for fiber recycling.
Worn Again Technologies will acknowledge the ACT UK project by showing the recycling technology expertise of its 1,000-tonne-per-year demonstration plant based in Winterthur, Switzerland.
Erik Koep, CEO at Worn Again Technologies, expressed, “Zero waste strategies can be successful only when the entire supply and value chains work together to embrace cost-effective, efficient and circular material management. This collaboration will help align sustainability efforts across the global textile industry, supporting the scaling up of comprehensive solutions for circularity.”
